Self-injections can be a pain to learn and do for the first time. The Apokyn Starter Kit was developed to help patients with Parkinson’s disease give injections when they experienced loss of mobility. This multi-faceted, versatile starter kit taught patients how to self-inject correctly and discretely when they were at home or on-the-go. This life-enhancing kit included a laminated injection mat to load the cartridge into the injection area and outlined the correct injection sites on the body. The kit also included an injection sponge, dosage magnifier and directions for use. We also designed a messenger bag to be worn anywhere and provide easy access to the Apokyn syringe, alcohol prep pads and additional needles. The result? A useful product that educated Parkinson’s patients and a daily dose of brand promotion for the client.
